I have a feeling I'd like Cromer. People over there couldn't understand what I saw in Blackpool.

Your pieces always seem to somehow exceed expectations.

Thanks Don. Now Blackpool I've only ever seen on film and TV and it looks like a whole other animal - bigger, darker and seamier. But I do want to see it someday!

I do so enjoy your writing. Thank you. Especially how I relate to your father passing, as your relationship is similar to mine, with my 92 year old dad. I'm sensing a closeness with him, though it's never been easy, yet I have been thinking of the good in it. Magical blessings of the highest to you. Your trip sounds wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Angie. Writing about my dad for my memoir helped so much, I saw that he had been there for me. Hope you find peace with yours. Thank you so much for your blessings and same to you!

Yeah, the Norfolk coast has a special quality- the towns are a little shabby and faded, but comfortable. Maybe because I feel a little shabby and faded?

I still miss the thought that my parents are there, they’ve been gone a long time, & the sadness has waned, but place they occupied is empty and I miss that.

Ah well, old age kinda sucks. Hope the weather stays ok there, I’m heading for Great Yarmouth the end of the month & needs some cooler weather and some fish and chips by the seaside.

there does seem to have been so much loss, the past several years, now. maybe it is the same amount? one tends to almost get numbed, at times. katmandu is in a bob seger song.

In one way it feels we're lucky to have a lot of people that are important to us, our circles are wider than for earlier generations for sure. The last time I arrived in England, Christine McVie died and this time it was Pee Wee Herman, they're both huge in my life - I spend so many hours listening to Fleetwood Mac to this day...Pee Wee was more my daughter's childhood but almost like a member of the family. But between my dad and my daughter's friend, I'm so cried out I had to put Pee Wee to the side. I could say now that both my parents are gone it will get easier losing people but I know the opposite is true!
