Merry Christmas week! What creative harmonies. I really enjoyed listening. Thank you. May the New Year bring you good times and harmony wherever you go. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the Stewart House story and images. So few photos of that crazy time and place exist, it was exhilarating to see an image of an event that was only a blazing memory in my history at the Stewart House. I fell in love with The Shams that night. It was a wild time, thanks for the post.
happy holidaze to you an' your'n, AR!!! i think you and i are sympatico on the present state of xmas music, ha ha, but at some point - it just seems right. two days prior, methinks! i DO wish ya'll a happy crimble - merry middlemas and hope 24 is better for everyone, xxxcm
Happy New Year Clarke - I do still love the Ronettes Sleigh Ride, Waitresses Christmas Wrapping and a few select others in the proper time and place! Yes here's to a better 2024
sixth street right above Shah Bagh (The first in the block, so the sign said) Plus my workshop on Mott St in the old armory (music building between Houston and Prince). Those were some special days.
Fabulous that you have this musical memory. I think nothing brings folks closer than music. I joined a classic geyser rock band at 63 (I’m the youngest). It is great fun and also happen to be great for my chronic aching back….doctor says more endorphins! Happy Holidays!
Made me smile reading this story. :) The song was great too! The lower east was the place for me, as well until 1988. That’s when I had my second daughter. We’d moved to Puerto Rico, then Florida, where she was born. Great times. Thank you for sharing the Christmas spirit! May you have a wonderful New Year!
I started to really get into Christmas music about the same time. First it was all about crazy crackpot novelty tunes, but eventually I drifted into the classic 1960’s canon, think Firestone Tire compilation records. I know some people loathe the entire genre, but I am not one of them.
Yes, the crazy crackpot novelty tunes - it was fun discovering them. And the smooth vocals on the classics. When did all become so relentless? I still like hearing Christmas Wrapping and a few others...Feliz Navidad!
Late (as always) to the party! Thanks for this Christmas gift 🎁 💚🎄
Thank you Jo!
Nice. Very nice. Merry Christmas!
Thanks Mike, same to you!

Thank you Angie! Glad you liked the song and happy New Year to you!
I would love more pix and bless the person that took them! Thank you!
I think it must've been Will Rigby! Will scan and email, such fun to see them.
A slightly belated Merry Christmas. I love that you shared a snippet of the beautiful music-making times you had me imagining.
So glad I've kept all these tapes - glad you enjoyed it Jim.

Merry Christmas Amy and Eric! We were looking for you at Olana yesterday. Then played Cut Two in the car. Enjoy the day. Steven & Ellen
I wanted to go! We joined the crowds at Adams in Kingston to buy groceries instead. Hope you two had a lovely walk and happy holidays!

That's so wonderful to hear - guitars are heavy, glad to know the benefits outweigh the poss. drawbacks. Rock on and Merry Christmas!
