I worked/copied some found wisdom into a short song:

just be kind and you won't go wrong/ do the right thing and the rest won't matter/ don't be a troll, a jerker an asshole/ just be kind and you won't wrong

be kind, and you won't go wrong 2X

2nd verse alternate part/ don't be a douch, a bully, or a creep

thanks! I steal from the best. recently put some lao tzu to music. wanna see a whole bunch of me ripping off the stoics, go to peterstampfel.com and check out the liner notes for my upcoming (September, Jalopy label) album: song shards: stoic jingles, soul jingles, vintage jingles, prayers, and rounds. stupidly long notes, but owell. also there, my 100 songs (Peter Stampfel's 20th Century in 100 Songs, along with 40K words of liner notes, and it's free-free-free!

"Kindness - we have to keep being kind to each other. As I typed that word here in a coffee shop in Los Angeles, the woman next to me said it out loud, to her friend."

A requirement in these times. Welcome back.

This was wonderful to read! I heard great things about your house concert in Berkeley! I wish I could teleport to one of these from Georgia.

Thanks Monica! I'll have to try and capture the house concert in Berkeley in writing - it was unique (I guess every single show is but this one was extra)

My friend Kristy (many know her as KDJ) was there--she said it was wonderful. I look forward to hearing about it!

Amy, a good friend of mine does a lot of UPS shipping in/out of the North Bay area. I mentioned your lost package to her and she offered: ' if you need a package that the driver

didn't deliver you can call (either the 800 or 888 number/ no direct

line I know of) & go get it, but the time the service window is open for that

is small: from when the trucks come back into the hub to 7pm I think.

If the person you shipped to is local to San Pablo give them the

tracking number & have them call: they might have different luck as the

pickup person. The window is open for other services during the day but they clearly

have nothing to do with missing boxes during normal hours.' I hope this is of some help, hope you recover the package or get fairly compensated.

Thanks for this Jeff - it's a good reminder to me to follow up. I zeroed in on an 800 number where I actually spoke to a UPS person, sadly they told me my package was lost. WHo knows, maybe it's turned up since last week, I will try again!

I’m so sorry I missed your show at The Ugly Mug in Santa Cruz. I had been dreaming about going. I didn’t feel well and thought it would be better not go out and spread anything. I hope Santa Cruz treated you with open arms and a big applause.
